What is NextGenVest?
NextGenVest is the Money Mentor for every student. We provide on-demand help on how to pay for college over text message. Each year, 1.4 million students overpay for college and leave $2.7 Billion in free federal aid unclaimed. Your Money Mentor is like your personal financial assistant who will help you fill out financial aid paperwork, find scholarships, negotiate your tuition and more.


What's the NextGenVest Money Mentor internship about?
As a NextGenVest Money Mentor you will learn how to communicate with prospective college students and mentor them on financial aid, college entrance, and more! You will be supporting our mission of helping thousands of low-to-middle income students across the country to make information on the financial aid process more accessible, easier to understand, and help students make smarter financial decisions overall. Whenever you text with a student, you are making it easier for them to enter college understanding how to best gain financial aid and take control of their money.

Who should apply?
Undergraduate college students (Sophomore and up) interested in gaining leadership ability and building communication skills! All majors are welcome, but the internship is especially great for those pursuing a career in education, counseling, marketing, communications, or finance.

Current high school and international students without Social Security Numbers or work authorizations are ineligible to apply.


What are the dates and time commitment?
We're currently looking for Money Mentors for the Fall 2017 semester. Time commitment each week is 16 hours and one weekly meeting. You would be working 1 hour shifts that you get to select yourself meaning they can easily fit into your schedule! This is remote internship meaning that you can work from anywhere with a solid internet connection.


What are the perks?
You'll develop leadership, communication, and financing skills as well as 1-on-1 mentorship experience. Within your team of fellow Money Mentors, you will have the opportunity for advancement and opportunities to develop your professional skills. You are paid based on your impact helping students through our WOW Point which awards you for your impact and you'll also earn prizes based on the your position on our weekly leaderboard and how well you and your team perform!


On top of all this, you'll build relationships with the NextGenVest team and with teachers and counselors which can help you grow your network!
